ERIN McELROY, AGE 44, OF WEST BRIDGEWATER, was arrested and charged with:
- Malicious Damage to Property
- Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle
- Disturbing the Peace
On Monday, Dec. 9, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Stoughton Police were called to 218 Canton St. for a report of a two-car crash with a vehicle into a building.
Officers arrived in the area to discover that a vehicle driven by McELROY rear-ended another vehicle and pushed that vehicle into a building at 218 Canton St.
The preliminary investigation indicates that immediately after crashing into the other vehicle, McELROY exited her vehicle and struck the other vehicle involved several times with a metal pipe.
The driver of the vehicle that struck the building suffered injuries that appeared to be serious. That driver was transported to Boston Medical Center.
McELROY was taken to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton for an evaluation. She will be booked upon release from the hospital.

The case is still under investigation and further charges may be added.
