PEPPERELL – Police Chief Todd Blain is pleased to announce the promotion of a longtime member of the Pepperell Police Department.
Lt. Thomas Maskalenko was promoted to Deputy Chief and sworn in by Town Clerk Brynn Durno on Monday, July 31. He officially started his role on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
“Deputy Maskalenko has done exceptional work for the department over the years and I know he will continue to excel in his new role,” Chief Blain said. “I wish him all the best as he takes this next step in his career.”
Deputy Chief Maskalenko has been with the department for 13 years. He was hired as a patrol officer in 2010, became a detective in 2012, and was promoted to patrol sergeant in 2016. In 2022, he was promoted to lieutenant.
Deputy Chief Maskalenko holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and is completing his master’s degree in criminal justice and public administration at the end of August.
