On Sunday, Nov. 20, at approximately 1:30 a.m. Bridgewater Police received a 911 call from two men who reported that they had just been robbed at gunpoint while walking in the area of 46 Summer St.
The victims reported that three male suspects wearing ski masks had approached them in an Audi SUV and allegedly pointed a firearm at the victims while demanding their jewelry and wallets. Neither victim was injured.
While officers were on scene conducting their initial investigation, the suspect vehicle was observed pulling into a nearby gas station at 33 Main St. As officers approached the vehicle, one of the occupants allegedly exited the vehicle and fled the scene on foot. Officers conducted a search of the immediate area with a K-9 and drone, but were not able to locate the suspect. He is described as a male with a thin build who was dressed in dark clothing at the time.
The two other occupants of the vehicle, identified as TAVARES and ANDRADE, were taken into custody at the scene without incident.
Upon a search of the vehicle, officers located an item that was allegedly stolen from one of the victims as well as a loaded firearm. Police are working to locate additional items allegedly taken from the victims.
TAVARES and ANDRADE were arraigned in Brockton District Court today and are being held pending dangerousness hearings.
The incident remains under investigation by the Bridgewater Police Department. Anyone with additional information or camera footage from the area is encouraged to contact Officer Ryan O’Connell, Detective Peter Balboni or Detective Sgt. Kelly Chuilli at 508-697-6118.
These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
