WENHAM – Chief Kevin DiNapoli is pleased to announce that the Wenham Police Department is equipping officers with pink badges throughout October in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a nationwide effort among police to raise awareness of breast cancer, the importance of early detection, and funds to aid research and recovery.
Chief DiNapoli has authorized officers to wear the pink Wenham Police badges on their uniforms throughout October in an effort to raise awareness.
“Breast cancer is a disease that has devastated countless families, and we are proud to help support efforts to raise awareness of the importance of early detection,” said Chief DiNapoli. “The more we all do to raise awareness and battle this disease, the better off our entire community will be.”
