EAST BRIDGEWATER — Chief Paul O’Brien is pleased to announce that the East Bridgewater Police Department is once again taking part in the Home Base No Shave fundraiser this month.
The campaign allows officers to donate or raise $100 to forego departmental facial hair restrictions during the month of November as a way to support Home Base’s mission to help veterans and their families heal from ailments such as post-traumatic stress and traumatic brain injuries.

“We have a long history of supporting the Home Base No Shave fundraiser, and we are once again proud to be raising money for this worthy cause,” Chief O’Brien said. “I want to thank everyone who has donated in the past as well as already this year. East Bridgewater is a very generous and giving community, and we are extremely grateful for the continued support.”
As of Thursday, Nov. 4, the department has already raised $1,750 for the campaign, surpassing its $1,000 goal.
More than 130 New England police departments, individuals, corporations and sponsors contributed to the Home Base No Shave fundraiser. Since its inception in 2015, the campaign has raised over $1 million to fund critical mental health and brain injury care for our nation’s wounded and injured service members and their families.
