WHITMAN — Superintendent Jeffrey Szymaniak and Whitman-Hanson Regional High School art instructor Christina Maher are pleased to share the latest featured artist in the school’s ongoing Virtual Senior Art Showcase Series.
As part of the Showcase Series, the WHRHS art department and the school’s Art in Action program will be featuring a rotating lineup of senior student artists on an individual basis in the coming weeks. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school is encouraging community members to view students’ artwork virtually.
For the next two weeks, Art in Action and the Whitman-Hanson Art Department will be featuring the work of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School senior Erin Tilley. The work will be displayed through April 9.
Tilley’s artwork will be on display in the three display cases along the WHRHS art hallway. To view a complete gallery of Tilley’s work online, click here.
Tilley plans on attending Lasell University after graduation, where she will study graphic design and advertising. She intends to take photography classes in college and will continue to pursue art as a hobby.
She enjoys art as an outlet for creativity, as well as a way to de-stress and relax.
“I encourage any student with an interest in art to join Art in Action,” Tilley said.
Other students who have been featured as part of this year’s Showcase Series include Julie Buckley and Abigail DeLory. Additional students will be announced and featured by the district in the coming weeks.
