WHITMAN — Superintendent Jeffrey Szymaniak and Whitman-Hanson Regional High School art instructor Christina Maher are pleased to share the latest featured artist in the school’s ongoing Virtual Senior Art Showcase Series.
As part of the Showcase Series, the WHRHS art department and the school’s Art in Action program will be featuring a rotating lineup of senior student artists on an individual basis in the coming weeks. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the school is encouraging community members to view students’ artwork virtually.
For the next two weeks, Art in Action and the Whitman-Hanson Art Department will be featuring the work of Whitman-Hanson Regional High School senior Julie Buckley.
Buckley’s artwork will be on display in the three display cases along the WHRHS art hallway. To view a complete gallery of Buckley’s work online, click here.
Buckley plans on attending a four-year college after graduation, and will continue making art as a hobby. She enjoys art as a method of self-expression and creativity, as well as a way to de-stress and relax.
She has taken several different art classes, including painting modern art, drawing, ceramics and computer graphics.
Other students who have been featured as part of this year’s Showcase Series include Abigail DeLory. Additional students will be announced and featured by the district in the coming weeks.
