DUNSTABLE — Chief James Dow reports that the Dunstable Police Department responded to a report of a swimmer in distress at a local pond this afternoon and is currently engaged in a search effort to locate the swimmer.
Dunstable Police and Fire responded at approximately 4:15 p.m. to a conservation pond near Main Street. The swimmer, a 15-year-old boy, was reportedly swimming with friends in the pond when he became distressed and his friends lost sight of him in the water.
The Dunstable Police and Fire Departments, along with a dive team, are engaged in the search effort at this time.
