Firefighters responded to 67 Market St. at 6:46 p.m. for a reported fire. Upon arrival, crews were met smoke and fire showing from a 2 1/2 story wood-framed barn.
Crews made an aggressive attack, as multiple buildings were located nearby. A second alarm was ordered.
“Firefighters did an excellent job keeping the fire contained to the original barn building, and I am proud to report that no other buildings sustained damage,” Chief Berkenbush said.

Mutual aid was provided by Salisbury, Newburyport and West Newbury as well as Seabrook, Hampton, East Kingston, Kingston and South Hampton, New Hampshire.
