Bridgewater Police Department to Sell Pink Patches to Raise Money for Breast Cancer Research
BRIDGEWATER — Chief Christopher D. Delmonte is pleased to announce that the Bridgewater Police Department will be selling pink uniform patches at the department’s annual road race next month to support breast cancer research.
The pink version of the department’s patch will be on sale for $5 each, with all proceeds being donated to the Dana-Farber/Brigham & Women’s Cancer Center.
The 4th Annual Bridgewater Police 5K and 1M Kids Fun Run event is set for Saturday, Sept. 30, at 8:30 a.m. The route includes a 5K course for adults and a one-mile fun run for children. Both courses begin and end at the police station.
“We are proud to help support the important work that’s being done to combat breast cancer,” Chief Delmonte said. “The 5K and One Mile Kids Fun Run is a great community event and we encourage everyone to come out and enjoy the day.”
For more information, visit the race’s official site. Anyone interested in purchasing a patch to support the battle against breast cancer can also contact Bridgewater Police Office Administrator Paula Bracken at 508-659-1508.
Proceeds from the road race benefit the Bridgewater 4th of July Committee.
