Gloucester Snow Emergency and Parking Ban: Saturday, Jan 7 at 12 Noon to Sunday, Jan 8 at 12 Noon
GLOUCESTER — Effective at noon today, Saturday, January 7, Gloucester has declared a snow emergency and parking ban on all city streets due to the first snow storm of the year.
From noon today, Saturday, January 7, until noon Sunday, January 8, all vehicles are banned from parking on city streets.
Residents may park in all municipal parking lots, including Gloucester High School, O’Maley Innovation Middle School, West Parish and all school parking lots. Other off-street parking areas include Harbor Parking Lot, Main Street Parking Lot, and St. Peter’s Square. (For a full list of areas, please visit: http://www.gloucester-ma.gov/index.aspx?nid=739)
All residents and businesses are reminded that they are responsible for clearing snow from sidewalks adjacent to their property. Please make every effort to shovel out hydrants at or near your homes, and please check on your elderly and disabled. Violators of this emergency declaration are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner’s expense. Please remove all vehicles from municipal parking lots two hours after the parking ban expires.
