Ashland Police Arrest Man for Aggravated Rape of a Child
ASHLAND — Ashland Police Chief Craig Davis and Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan announce that an Ashland man was arraigned today after his arrest late last week for aggravated rape of a child after an investigation determined he allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with a victim that was known to him.
SCOTT F. PLOYER, JR., AGE 30, OF ASHLAND, was ordered held on $15,000 cash bail upon his arraignment Tuesday morning in Framingham District Court. He was arrested Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 and charged with Aggravated Rape of a Child Under 16 (5 Counts).
On Friday, Dec. 30, Ashland Police served a search warrant at a Ashland residence after an investigation conducted by the Ashland Police Department and the District Attorney’s Office revealed that PLOYER was allegedly involved in an alleged relationship with a juvenile victim that lasted several months.
PLOYER was arrested at the scene without incident.
This incident remains under investigation by Ashland Police and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. All media inquiries should be directed to the Office of the Middlesex District Attorney.
This information was not released earlier due to the Domestic Violence Act of 2014 which prevents police departments from releasing information about certain crimes until the suspect has been arraigned.
