Burlington Police Investigating Overnight Armed Robbery
BURLINGTON — Police Chief Michael R. Kent reports that the Burlington Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Friday evening.
At approximately 9:25 p.m., Burlington Police responded to the One Stop convenience store on Winn Street near the Woburn city line. The clerk told responding officers that a large, heavy-set man, approximately 6’1″ to 6’3″ tall entered the store and showed the clerk a black handgun.
The suspect took a quantity of cash from the clerk and ran off.
The suspect was wearing a white zip-up hooded vest over a black jacket, gray New Balance sneakers, blue gloves, and a green mask covering his face from view.
Police believe that the suspect was monitoring activity in the store prior to entering, based on video surveillance footage. After the robbery, the suspect fled westbound on Mountain Road where police believe a vehicle was either parked or waiting for him, because a police K-9 was unable to track the suspect.
If anyone recognizes the man in the surveillance footage or has any information about this crime, they are asked to please contact the Burlington Police Department Detective Division at 781-272-1212. All callers may remain anonymous.
