Update Saturday’s Lightning Strike in Ipswich

IPSWICH – Acting Police Chief Jonathan Hubbard announces that one of the women struck by lightning on Saturday at Crane Beach has sadly passed away.

Marguerite Tomany, age 61, of North Grosvenor Dale, Conn., died as a result of injuries suffered in the lightning strike. The second victim, a 69-year-old woman from Concord, Mass. remains in critical condition at Massachusetts General Hospital.
