Salem Police Department Launches News Portal, Invites Community to Visit

SALEM — Deputy Chief Joel Dolan is pleased to announce that the Salem Police Department has launched a news portal to serve as a hub for the latest updates and information about the agency’s various initiatives, events and incidents.

“It’s incredibly important that we keep the public updated about emergency incidents, arrests, policing initiatives and programming, community outreach and events, and this news portal will serve as a source for residents to visit and stay up to date,” Deputy Chief Dolan said. “We’re excited to launch this portal, and strengthen our dialog and communication with our residents.”

The portal, salemnhpdnews.com, will act as an official source of information for residents in Salem regarding all aspects of the police department’s work. It is also integrated into the department’s social media channels and will automatically broadcast news blog content onto the Salem Police Department Twitter and Facebook channels.

A clean, user-friendly and mobile responsive layout allows for easy navigation throughout the portal, which was designed by John Guilfoil Public Relations LLC as part of the company’s contract to provide communications and media relations strategy and services in Salem.
