CARLISLE — Chief John Fisher and the Carlisle Police Department would like to call attention to a variety of scams and provide residents tips for avoiding them following an increase in scam activity that has been reported to the department.
On Wednesday, Dec. 18, Carlisle Police arrested Anthony O. Unaka, 53, of Randolph in connection with allegedly stealing mail from multiple Carlisle homes. Unaka was arraigned Thursday, Dec. 19 in Concord District Court on charges of larceny under $1,200, receiving stolen property and possession of a Class E drug.
The Groveland Police Department is actively investigating after a man was caught on camera looking into a resident’s mailbox over the weekend.
Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department arrested a juvenile male for mail theft earlier this week, and are continuing to investigate several previously reported incidents of mail theft and vandalism.
