JGPR recently designed a logo for the New England FOOLS — Fraternal Order of Leatherheads Society — the local chapter of a nationwide firefighter charity and training organization.
The non-political Leatherheads Society was founded in Orlando in 1995, and the New England chapter was formed in 2003. Its president is Georgetown Fire Department Deputy Chief Rusty Ricker. We are also wrapping up a new website for them!

ROCKPORT – The New England Fraternal Order of Leatherheads Society (FOOLS) is hosting an event TONIGHT to benefit Rockport Fire Lieutenant Kris Juncker Jr.
The community is invited to the Rockport Fire Department Headquarters, 37 Broadway at 6:30 p.m. to meet and mingle with firefighters and members of New England FOOLS. Admission is $25, with all proceeds going to Lt. Juncker, who spent more than two months in the hospital for severe breathing problems unrelated to firefighting earlier this year.
In addition, Lt. David Gallagher, a retired lieutenant from the Huber Heights, Ohio Fire Department and member of New England FOOLS, will present his “Big Truck/Small Crew” interactive program that gives firefighters a number of strategies they can use when assigned to a smaller engine company. Gallagher has over 30 years experience in career and volunteer fire departments. He is a nationally known instructor for the Fire Department Instructors Conference, Firehouse Expo, and Firehouse World in engine/truck company operations.
