MARION — Town Administrator Paul Dawson reports that the sitting Marion town clerk and another man have been indicted by a statewide grand jury for allegedly stealing funds from the Carver, Marion, Wareham Regional Refuse Disposal District.
The case, brought forward by North Reading Police Detectives, resulted in five arrests in four towns and freed 10 women from alleged human sex trafficking.
I have been made aware that the Essex County District Attorney’s Office has forwarded pertinent materials to the Attorney General and U.S. Attorney Offices as it relates to the investigation of internal affairs within the department.
