Newburyport Police Investigating Armed Robbery

NEWBURYPORT — City Marshal Mark Murray reports that the Newburyport Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred late Tuesday afternoon. A suspect has been arrested.

Police responded to the Mobil station on State Street, near the intersection of High Street at 6:26 p.m. Tuesday for a reported armed robbery. Upon arrival, police learned that a suspect entered the station and showed a handgun, demanding money.

The suspect, but his description was broadcast to all law enforcement agencies in the area.

Minutes later, the Salisbury Police Department reported that it had a suspect in custody  on Beach Road in their town matching the description of the robber.

North Reading Police Seek Robbery Suspect

NORTH READING — Chief Michael P. Murphy reports that the North Reading Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred Friday morning.

At 9:54 a.m., a suspect went into the Lucky Mart convenience store, 202 North St., and displayed a handgun to the clerk, demanding money. The suspect fled on foot.

He is described as a heavy-set white male, about 6 feet 2 inches tall and was wearing a blue Red Sox hooded sweatshirt.

Wenham Police Investigating Armed Robbery

WENHAM — Chief Thomas Perkins reports that the Wenham Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred over the weekend.

On Saturday, April 22, 2017 at approximately 8 p.m., Wenham police officers were dispatched to the Richdale convenience store located at 143 Topsfield Road for a reported robbery. Upon arrival, officers were advised that two men had entered the store with the faces covered. One of the men brandished a knife and threatened the clerk while demanding money. The suspects took a quantity of cash and fled the store.

The suspects are described as thin white or Hispanic males, approximately 19-22 years old. One suspect was wearing a red sweatshirt, and the other was wearing black clothing.

Wenham Police have reason to believe that the suspects are also connected to an earlier robbery of a sandwich shop in Peabody.

Andover Police Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect

ANDOVER– Chief Patrick Keefe reports that the Andover Police Department is searching for a man involved in an armed robbery at a gas station early this morning.

At 1:27 a.m., Andover Police received a report of an armed robbery at the Mobil gas station, 14 North Main St.

Upon arrival, officers learned from the overnight clerk that a white man, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, who looked to be in his late 20s, entered the store holding a handgun and demanding money.

The suspect then fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash and entered a dark colored sedan. At the time of the robbery, he was described as wearing dark clothing and a scarf that covered his face.

This incident is being investigated by the Andover Police Department’s Detective Division. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Andover Police Department at 978-475-0411.
