Melina Schuler brings extensive experience in municipal public relations and marketing to JGPR. In her role as Director of Marketing & Special Projects she assists with business growth and development, launching new products under the JGPR umbrella, and website design. She started with the company in 2018 as a Digital Specialist building out websites that are easy to navigate, informative and visually attractive.
During her 15-year career in communications she’s worked as a consumer news producer at the NBC affiliate in Boston and as a deputy press secretary for the Mayor of Boston and the City’s Boston’s redevelopment agency.
Prior to joining JGPR, Melina was a member of the leadership team at the Boston Public Library serving as Chief of Communications. During her three year tenure, she managed the public relations strategy for the library’s missing art crisis from initial discovery of the missing art to the search for a new Library president. In addition, she oversaw the revamp of the BPL’s electronic newsletter and new website.
Melina holds a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from Emerson College, and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Virginia. Melina is passionate about clear communication, collaborating with clients and colleagues, and executing projects in an organized and deliberate way.
