Leah has a special interest in public safety and law enforcement communications and has worked with many of JGPR’s police clients on various projects, as well as deployed to multiple critical scenes to work with clients on communicating during incidents. She oversees an editorial calendar of seasonal public safety topics, which includes over 100 topics that are distributed throughout client communities every year. Leah was appointed as JGPR’s continuity officer and created JGPR’s first Continuity of Operations Plan at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to help limit disruptions to company operations. She is also the manager of JGPR’s internship program, overseeing recruiting, hiring and training.
Leah has won several awards as a public relations professional. She was honored as a Rising Star 30 & Under by PR News in 2020 and as a PR News Top Woman in PR Rising Star in 2021.
Also in 2021, Leah earned a Silver Bell for her work securing media placement for the North Reading Police and Fire Departments after they responded to an early-morning house fire, and a Silver Bell for her response to a shooting at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree. In 2020, she was part of the JGPR team that won a Silver Bell for their work coordinating media availability for a group of Bridgewater police officers after they delivered a baby by the side of the road.
Leah is a 2019 graduate of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities and holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism/strategic communication and political science. She joined the company in July 2019.
