BOURNE — Superintendent Kerri Anne Quinlan-Zhou and Principal Christine Borning are pleased to announce that sixth-grade students from Bourne Middle School recently attended Camp Bournedale.
Sixth-grade students attended Camp Bournedale, an overnight camp in Plymouth, from April 11 to 13.
Over 100 students attended and participated in a variety of recreational and group activities and classes, including coastal ecology, rocketry, a team-building ropes course, a marine biology lab, and a geocaching lab where they had to use their knowledge of maps.
During camp, students also took a trip through Plymouth Harbor on a Lobster boat.
Social Science Teacher Samantha Fasoli coordinated the trip with help from Bourne Middle School staff, faculty and parents who volunteered during camp.
“It was truly an amazing week for all students and staff, and I would like to thank Camp Bournedale for hosting our sixth graders this past week” said Fasoli. “Students were engaged and excited truly making this a wonderful trip for everyone who attended.”
“Camp Bournedale was a great opportunity for students to come together with their peers and members of their class,” said Principal Christine Borning. “I would like to thank Camp Bournedale for hosting our students. I would also like to thank parents and faculty volunteers for donating their time to this event. It was wonderful to see our students connect with their peers outside of school and participate in a variety of interactive activities.”
