BOURNE — From award-winning visual and performing arts, more than 45 athletic and co-curricular activities, civic-minded instruction and much more, there’s something for everyone in the Bourne Public Schools – and it’s not just Bourne residents who can take advantage of the opportunities!
Families outside of the Bourne community are eligible to send their children to Bourne schools through the Massachusetts Interdistrict School Choice program. School Choice is an optional state program that allows Massachusetts school districts to accept students from other towns.
The Bourne Public Schools is now accepting School Choice students in grades K-12 for the upcoming school year.
Advantages of the School Choice program include:
- Guaranteed enrollment through graduation
- Ability to attend the Bourne Public Schools tuition free
- Access to real-world and experiential courses for all students, including internships, personal finance and career exploration
- Transportation at established stops for grades 6-12 when available with a nominal fee
“The Bourne Schools offer an exceptional education with a welcoming, small-town feel,” Superintendent Kerri Anne Quinlan-Zhou said. “We have so many opportunities for students from leadership and civic engagement to the arts and athletics. We pride ourselves on our forward-thinking college and career exploration initiatives and also our ‘AP for all’ mindset, because we believe that all students can engage in challenging academic material with the right support.”
Enrollment is dependent on availability, and additional information can be found on the BPS website here. Those interested can also contact Celeste Sullivan at csullivan@bourneps.org or by calling 508-759-0660.
