Whittier to Hold Third Annual Golf Tournament

HAVERHILL — The Whittier Tech Educational Foundation is pleased to announce that Whittier will host its third annual golf tournament this month to benefit students.

WHEN:

Thursday, Aug. 15

7 a.m. registration

8 a.m. shotgun start

WHERE:

Bradford Country Club, 201 Chadwick Road, Haverhill

WHAT:

The event is a major fundraiser for The Whittier Tech Educational Foundation, a nonprofit organization established to provide resources to improve student achievement and learning opportunities. 

Registration is still open for this year’s tournament, which features a hole-in-one contest, a golf cannon and putting competition.

The $125 single golfer rate and $500 per foursome includes breakfast, a day of golf, lunch and raffle/auction prizes.

Those who cannot attend or do not wish to golf are invited to support Whittier students by becoming a Tee Sponsor or Special Event Sponsor. Spectators and guests can also join family and friends for a steak and chicken buffet for $30, and bid on a huge selection of raffle prizes.

Since its inception, funding from the golf tournament has allowed Whittier to assist several hundred students and award 20 scholarships.
