WEST NEWBURY — Chief Michael Dwyer reports that the West Newbury Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 14-year-old girl.
West Newbury Police and Fire responded to Ash Street at 9:09 a.m. after receiving a call reporting the missing child. Upon arrival and after taking an initial report, Chief Dwyer established a perimeter search area.
MADISON MARINO, AGE 14, was last seen in West Newbury at approximately 2:30AM. She may have been spotted at 5:30 a.m. near the NEER North New England Equine Rescue at 52 Ash St., West Newbury, walking in the direction of Newbury.
MARINO, is described as 5 feet, 3 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown hair and blonde highlights. At the time she was last seen, she was wearing a dark sweatsuit and may be in possession of a black backpack. She is also believed to be wearing a Triton wrestling jacket.
West Newbury is receiving assistance from numerous mutual aid agencies, including the Massachusetts State Police, Massachusetts Environmental Police, Essex County Sheriff’s Office, Massachusetts Department of Fire Services, Merrimac Police, Cataldo Ambulance, and Atlantic Ambulance.
Anyone who has information on MARINO’s whereabouts is asked to call 911.
