WRENTHAM — The Town of Wrentham will be conducting a forum to discuss the state’s MBTA Communities Multi-Family Zoning Requirements and is asking residents to submit questions.
This discussion will feature a panel of elected and appointed Town officials: Select Board members Chris Gallo and Michelle Rouse, Planning Board Chair Michael McKnight, Finance Director Mike King, and Town Manager Kevin Sweet.
The forum will be recorded on Nov. 16 and broadcast shortly thereafter on Wrentham Cable 8 community access and will be posted on the Town website and social media channels.
Residents can submit questions directly to SBOffice@wrentham.gov or via a form link here. The deadline to submit questions is Thursday, Nov. 7.
To be considered in compliance with MBTA Communities Multi-Family Zoning Requirements, the Town is required to vote on whether or not to adopt multi-family zoning district(s). The three outcomes are: 1) vote to adopt the zoning requirements, 2) vote not to adopt the zoning requirements, or 3) vote to delay the decision. Residents will vote on a proposed multi-family overlay district zoning bylaw at a Special Town Meeting on Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. at King Philip Regional High School at 201 Franklin St.
The Town of Wrentham is aware of other public forums being held by groups throughout town. The Town is committed to providing accurate, fair and balanced information about the MBTA requirements and requested zoning bylaw change. This will be the only official Town-moderated panel discussion on the topic.
