TAUNTON — Superintendent-Director Dr. Alexandre Magalhaes is pleased to announce that Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School Student Jaelynn McAuliffe was recently named the winner of the Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship.
The Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship, presented by Certiport, took place on June 17-19 in Orlando, FL.
During the event, students from across the country competed to earn scholarships, prizes, medals, trophies and certificates.
This is the first time a Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School student has won the national championship and will advance to the World Championship.
Business and Applied Technologies student McAuliffe of Freetown was among the top scorers in Massachusetts on the Microsoft Specialist Certification exam Fall Qualifier. She placed First in the Microsoft Word – Office 2019 category, leading her to advance to the national round of the competition.
“On behalf of Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical High School, I would like to congratulate Business and Applied Technologies student Jaelynn McAuliffe for this outstanding accomplishment,” said Superintendent-Director Dr. Magalhaes. “This award speaks to Jaelynn’s commitment to her technical program and to her drive as a student and as a leader in the Bristol Plymouth community.”
Bristol-Plymouth is a certified testing center and offers students the opportunity to attain Microsoft certifications through Certiport for free.
