Throughout the tour, attendees were brought to various classrooms including the Early Childhood Center, grade 3-5 classrooms, grade eight science and religion classrooms, and middle school history classrooms. Guests were encouraged to engage with students and staff during class activities.

The event continued with a speaking program led by The Catholic Schools Foundation Executive Director Mike Reardon, who spoke about the positive impact of Catholic education.
Reardon also invited guests to the stage to test their knowledge against St. Mary students in a game of trivia.
Following trivia, alumna, Tiana Egwin spoke to guests about the positive impact that St. Mary of the Hills School community has made as she transitions into high school at Newton Country Day. “Thanks to St. Mary’s I have wonderful friends,” said Egwim. “The community I was surrounded by at Saint Mary’s was so supportive.”
Student Preston Domercant spoke about his passion for the St. Mary of the Hills School CYO Basketball Team.
Principal Banach introduced the final guest speaker of the day, alumni parent Heidi Lally who spoke about her son’s early struggle with a language-based learning disorder in his previous school and his transition to St. Mary of the Hills School.
“The individuals in this school changed my son’s life,” said Lally. “None of this would have been possible without the generosity of The Catholic Schools Foundation. Donations made on behalf of this organization allowed my son to be accepted as a student here. While in attendance here my son flourished as a student and showed tremendous progress and promise.”
Closing remarks were made by Principal Banach. “We know the positive impact that Catholic education has on many of our students, and our wish is that every parent who wants a Catholic education for their child can afford a Catholic education for their child,” said Principal Banach. “We are thankful for the generosity of our attendees. You have made a difference in our children’s lives.”
