MENDON — Superintendent Maureen Cohen is pleased to share that students across the District will be taking part in an Inspired Learning Design Challenge later this month.

- Nipmuc Regional High School, 90 Pleasant St., Upton, 8:30-11 a.m.
- Miscoe Hill Middle School, 148 North Ave., Mendon, 12:45-2:30 p.m.
- Memorial Elementary School, 69 Main St., Upton, 2-3 p.m.
- Henry P. Clough Elementary School, 10 North Ave., Mendon, 1:30-3 p.m.
WHAT:
Students in all four District schools will be taking part in an Inspired Learning Design Challenge, which will engage all students in tasks that require genuine collaboration, problem-solving, communication, and innovation.
Students will participate in a Zip Line Challenge, in which they will design a mechanism that will safely slide down a zipline and drop a package on a designated spot.
Students at Nipmuc Regional High School will take the challenge in the morning and then head to the elementary and middle schools to support students who will take the Challenge in the afternoon.
Treetop Adventures serves as a partner of the event. Topher Kerr, the GM of Treetop Adventures, will join the event to consult with the students and offer prizes to the winning group.
