Event to Be Held for Incoming Freshmen and New High School Students
BOURNE — Superintendent Kerri Anne Quinlan-Zhou and Bourne High School Principal Amy Cetner would like to invite families of incoming freshmen and new high school students to an upcoming Program of Studies and Open House event next week.
The open house will be on Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 6-7:15 p.m. in the Bourne High School library, located at 75 Waterhouse Road.
Participants will learn about the 2023-2024 course selection process and discover the unique and exciting learning opportunities available at Bourne High School.
“We look forward to welcoming and connecting with the new members of the Bourne High School family,” Principal Cetner said. “Our school has so much to offer to students and our annual open house is a great opportunity to showcase to families all of the innovative and comprehensive programs they can take part in during the upcoming school year.”
During the open house, families can learn about primary and elective course offerings, athletic and extracurricular programs, the school’s many Innovation Pathways programs, internship and work-based opportunities and more.
Families are also invited to tour the school’s new and innovative learning spaces, including their Medical Center, Business Client Center, iMac Digital Media & Marketing Lab and School-to-Career Center.
“For many who will be in attendance next week, this will be their first time hearing about what we refer to as the Bourne Advantage,” Superintendent Quinlan-Zhou said. “We believe Bourne High School is a small school with big opportunities. These opportunities allow our students to strive and develop into well-rounded and thoughtful young adults. We hope to see many families at the open house so they can learn more about what Bourne High School has to offer.”
