BRISTOL — Bristol Warren Superintendent Ana C. Riley wishes to officially welcome Michelle King into the role of Principal of Mt. Hope High School.
King has served as Interim Principal of the high school since July. She was appointed Principal on Monday, Dec. 12.
“Michelle has excelled in all of her roles in our district and I am confident that she will do just the same in her new role as Principal of Mt. Hope High School,” Superintendent Riley said. “I am excited to see her use her experience in the education sector and knowledge of our district to support our high school students, our faculty, and the continued growth of the school. I wish her congratulations on this well-deserved promotion.”
King joined the Bristol Warren Regional School District in 2016 as Assistant Principal at the high school. She previously served as Chair of the Science Department and as a Science Teacher at Lincoln High School. She began her career in education as a Science Teacher at Lincoln Middle School in 2005.
She holds a master’s degree in education with a focus in administration from Providence College, a certificate in teaching with a focus on secondary and general science from Rhode Island College and a bachelor’s degree in allied health profession from the University of Connecticut.
