Website Wins Massachusetts Municipal Association Website Award
AVON — Town Administrator Gregory Enos is pleased to announce that the Town of Avon recently launched a new and improved website.
The updated website offers a modern design and user-friendly features. The website has reorganized layouts, and the assets of the website that are most popular are now more accessible than ever.
Some of the new features include the ability to report issues in town such as road hazards, a translation button, and more. The website also will soon offer electronic permitting. Community events will be added to the website calendar to keep residents updated on the happenings within the town.
The website recently was the winner of the Massachusetts Municipal Association (MMA) Website Award in the population under 5,000 category. The website scored among the highest in the following categories: navigation and organization of material, convenience of information, functionality, and overall experience of the website. The Town will be recognized at MMA’s 2023 Annual Meeting and Trade Show on Friday, Jan. 20.
“We recommend residents take advantage of our updated website and all of the features that it offers,” Town Administrator Enos said. “Community members can use the website as a one-stop solution to stay up to date with town events and get connected with the various departments within town, and we are very pleased to have the benefits of this website recognized by the Massachusetts Municipal Association.”
