CONCORD – Chief Thomas Judge is pleased to share that the Concord Fire Department is distributing dozens of toys to families in need this holiday season following donations from students in the community.
In what has become an annual tradition, members of the Concord-Carlisle High School football team, as well as students from the Willard School, have come together to donate toys to the Concord Firefighters Relief Association, which is in turn donating them to families in need in Concord and beyond.
Concord firefighters invited community members in need to collect toys that align with their children’s wish lists ahead of Christmas and have also made the toys available to those in need from surrounding towns.
Concord Fire has collected over 1,000 new toys in their original packaging thanks to donations from the students and others in the community.
“This is a great tradition that our members have come to look forward to every year,” Chief Judge said. “I want to thank our residents and the students from CCHS and the Willard School for their efforts to collect and donate these toys, and express my gratitude to the Concord Firefighters’ Relief Association for spearheading this important initiative.”
