CONCORD — The Concord Police Department would like to invite members of the Concord community to a farewell coffee to honor Police Chief Joseph O’Connor on his last day of service after a 36-year career in policing.

The Concord Police Department invites community members and colleagues to a farewell coffee to honor Concord Police Chief Joseph F. O’Connor on his last day of service after 36-year career in policing.
Chief O’Connor joined the Concord Police Department in June 2014 after serving on the MBTA Transit Police Department with distinction from 1990-2014, and previously serving as a police officer for the towns of Dennis and Winchester.
Chief O’Connor began his career in law enforcement in 1986 with the Town Of Dennis. After joining the MBTA Transit Police in 1990, Chief O’Connor rose through the ranks of that department, from Patrol Officer to Superintendent-in-Chief.
Chief O’Connor is known as a leader who throughout his career demonstrated a commitment to public safety through community policing. He has been a champion of modern and progressive causes in policing for decades.
