TEWKSBURY – Police Chief Ryan Columbus reports that the Tewksbury Police Department responded to a crash involving a pedestrian on Main Street on Friday evening.
On Friday, Dec. 9, at approximately 5:08 p.m., Tewksbury Police were notified by a 911 call that a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in the area of 270 Main St.
Responding officers discovered a pedestrian suffering serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle while crossing the street.
The pedestrian was transported by medical helicopter to a Boston-area trauma center.
The driver involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with an investigation.
The crash remains under investigation by Tewksbury Police, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
