LITTLETON — Chief Matthew Pinard and the Littleton Police Department are pleased to share that they will once again partner with state Rep. James Arciero for a drive-through event to support Toys for Tots.
WHEN:
Saturday, Dec. 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
WHERE:
Littleton Police Department, 500 Great Road
WHAT:
For the third year in a row, Littleton Police will partner with state Rep. James Arciero to host a drive-through and drop-off toy drive to benefit the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program, as well as Loaves and Fishes and the Sun Santa fund.
Community members are invited to bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Littleton Police Department. Community members will be able to drive through the station’s parking lot and drop off a toy from their vehicle to benefit local children in need.
There will also be a large donation box for the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry, as the Littleton Patrolman’s Union Local 204 is hosting a food drive for the pantry. Donations to the Sun Santa fund will also be accepted at the event.
“The need has never been greater,” said Rep. Arciero. “If you’re able, please help during these difficult times.”
Those who cannot attend the drop-off event are welcome to deliver toys to the Littleton Police Station anytime before the event.
“I’d like to invite the entire community to join us, along with Rep. James Arciero, as we try to make this our biggest event ever,” said Chief Matthew Pinard. “Nothing gets us into the holiday spirit quite like teaming up to making Christmas brighter for kids, and the Toys for Tots program gives us an great avenue to do just that.”
Toys for Tots was founded by the U.S. Marine Corps in 1947 to donate toys to kids who are less fortunate during the holiday season. For more information on the Toys for Tots program, visit the foundation’s website.
