WAYLAND — The Wayland Select Board wishes to invite community members to a public hearing to learn about the Fiscal Year 2023 property tax rates next week.

Monday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m.

WHAT:
At the meeting, the Board of Assessors will present data relative to the setting of the FY 2023 tax rate and its effect on Wayland taxpayers with different classifications of properties.
The Select Board will vote on whether a uniform tax rate will be maintained for residential, commercial and industrial properties. They will also vote on whether an open space discount and/or residential and/or small commercial exemption will be approved for FY 2023.
Additionally, Town officials responsible for preparing the tax recapitulation submission to the Massachusetts Department of Revenue will review and answer questions from the public concerning the proposed FY 2023 tax rate. Public comment will follow.
