PLYMOUTH — Chief Neil Foley is pleased to announce that the Plymouth Fire Department and Plymouth Firefighters Local 1768 will be hosting a Stuff-A-Bus event to benefit Toys for Tots once again this year.
WHEN:
Beginning Friday, Dec. 2, through Sunday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
WHERE:
Walmart, 300 Colony Place Road
WHAT:
The Plymouth Fire Department and Plymouth Firefighters Local 1768 invite the community to stuff a bus with gifts to benefit Toys for Tots and provide children in need with gifts of their own this holiday season.
Along with the help of First Student of Plymouth, toys are being collected to stuff a school bus to ensure there is a smile under every Christmas tree this year. Residents are asked to contribute new, unwrapped toys for infants to children aged 16. Plymouth firefighters and other volunteers will be stuffing the bus with donated toys.
In addition to the drive, the Plymouth Fire Department will be accepting toy donations at Station 6 and Station 7. At Station 6, 2209 State Road in Cedarville, a collection box will be inside the station and residents should ring the bells upon their arrival for assistance from the firefighters on duty. At Station 7, 15 Hedge Road in North Plymouth, a collection box for no-contact donations will be available. All toys should be left unwrapped to ensure proper distribution for each child’s gender and age. Monetary donations are also accepted.
“Every year Firefighter Page, along with a countless number of firefighters and volunteers, step up to host this event to ensure that every child, regardless of their family’s financial standing, has a gift to open up on Christmas morning,” Chief Foley said. “On behalf of the Plymouth Fire Department and the volunteers, I would like to thank all community members for their generous donations and support ahead of this coming holiday season.”
This is the 16th year that the department and Plymouth Firefighters Local 1768 have taken part in the event and the fifth year they’ve hosted a Stuff-A-Bus event. It has been organized each year by Firefighter Sean Page.
