RAYNHAM — Fire Chief Bryan LaCivita reports that the Raynham Fire Department is actively battling a house fire on Center Street.
Raynham Fire received a call at 12:36 p.m. today, Tuesday, Nov. 8, reporting a house fire at 481 Center St. Upon arrival, crews saw smoke and flames coming from the first and second floors of the single-family home.
No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire at this time. A resident who was home at the time was able to safely escape with eight dogs prior to firefighters’ arrival. A ninth dog was then rescued from the home by first responders on scene.
The Taunton, Bridgewater and Easton Fire Departments, along with Brewster Ambulance have responded to the scene to provide mutual aid.
Raynham Police have responded to the scene and closed Center Street from Tracy Corner to Broadway.
Crews remain on scene battling the fire. Center Street is closed to traffic until further notice.
