ACTON — Chief Richard Burrows would like to provide an update on the investigation into Wednesday’s hit-and-run crash that injured a 13-year-old child who was walking in a crosswalk.
Acton Police have located and taken custody of the vehicle allegedly involved in the crash. No charges have been filed. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
The victim was struck in a crosswalk on Great Road on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at approximately 6:15 p.m., in the area of Harris Street. Acton Police detectives obtained video surveillance from a nearby business, and through their investigation identified the vehicle of interest. That vehicle was seized pursuant to a search warrant over the weekend.
The investigation is being conducted by the Acton Police Department with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis & Reconstruction Section.
