BOURNE — The award-winning Bourne High School Drama program will be presenting their production of Thornton Wilder’s classic “Our Town” this weekend. The entire Bourne community is invited to celebrate the hard work of the BHS Drama Club.
The show will run on the following dates:
- Friday, Nov. 4, 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Nov. 5, 7 p.m.
- Sunday, Nov. 6, 2 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased by clicking here. The price for students is $7, adults $12 and seniors $10. Running time for the show is two hours with a 15-minute intermission.
The show will celebrate the 125th anniversary of Wilder’s birth. A three-time Pulitzer Prize winner, Wilder contributed a great deal to American Theatre and Literature and BHS drama is excited to present this show to the greater community.
In “Our Town,” Wilder gives a beautiful yet blunt reminder to live our lives for today, hold those we love close to us and to mindfully witness the profundity of growing up, loving, living and dying.
“Our highly dedicated and talented drama students are so excited to be back this year to present such a classic and recognizable show,” Director Tristan Burke said. “The community has always supported our productions and we look forward to showing off the hard work of the students who will be performing on stage and working behind the scenes.”
