PETERBOROUGH – Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders and Principal Heather McKillop are pleased to share that two ConVal High School seniors have been named Commended Students for the 2023 National Merit Scholarship program.
The students are Katherine Craig and Rachel Stajduhar.
“These students have achieved academic excellence and we are honored to have them as a part of our school community,” said Superintendent Rizzo Saunders. “They should be proud to achieve this recognition from such a distinguished organization as the National Merit Scholarship program.”
Craig and Stajduhar received commendation letters from the high school, as well as the National Merit Scholarship program.
Craig and Stajduhar are among 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation recognized for their outstanding academic achievements.
Commended students place among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2023 competition by taking the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSC), but do not continue in the 2023 competition for National Merit Scholarship awards.
“I want to extend a big congratulations to these incredible students,” said Principal McKillop. “I am proud of their hard work and dedication and I am excited to see all that they will continue to accomplish.”
