CANTON — The Canton Fire Department congratulates Chief Charles Doody on 27 years of dedicated service to the department and the Town of Canton.
Friends, family, residents, elected officials and representatives from numerous neighboring departments were on hand at the Canton Fire Station Friday, Sept. 30 to wish Chief Doody well. After being named a firefighter in 1995 and serving as Chief since 2009, Doody now leaves for his new role as Town Administrator for the Town of Canton.
To mark the end of his final shift with the department, Chief Doody received a police escort home as he left the station aboard Engine 3.
