MARLBOROUGH – Assabet Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School, in collaboration with MassHire MetroSouth/West, invites business leaders from MetroWest and Central Massachusetts to take part in its annual Fall Manufacturing Summit.
The Summit will be held on Friday, Oct. 7, from 9-11 a.m., as part of the school’s Technical Institute program. October is Manufacturing Month, and Oct. 7 is nationally recognized as Manufacturing Day.
Attendees will be able to network with employers, workforce partners, and community organizations who wish to provide career opportunities or help create a pipeline of qualified job seekers. Attendees also will have the chance to learn about Manufacturing Month events, and about resources available for manufacturers and job seekers within Massachusetts Workforce System.
Participating businesses and organizations include: Framingham State University,. MassHire, Town of Acton, Marlborough Economic Development Corporation, Northeast Advanced Manufacturing Consortium, Shawsheen Valley Regional Technical Institute, Metro West Chamber of Commerce, Minuteman Technical Institute, Assabet Valley Technical Institute, Middlesex Community College, Norfolk’s Sheriff’s Department, Rolls-Royce North America, Pro-Drive Technologies, Riverdale Mills, Gooch & Housego, and MASS MEP.
