NEW LONDON — Superintendent Winfried Feneberg is pleased to report that the Kearsarge Regional School District welcomed new and returning teachers.
During his Welcome Back address on Thursday, Aug. 25, Superintendent Feneberg also announced the District’s Word of the Year: “Focus.”
Superintendent Feneberg set goals and expectations for the coming year, and provided updates on curriculum, hiring, technology, and buildings and grounds.
Superintendent Feneberg recapped the last two years, and praised staff for maintaining their high level of commitment and professionalism while educating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Staff members were challenged to reflect on their recent successes, and he asked them to concentrate on instruction, curriculum, social-emotional learning, and professional development.
“Let’s focus again on our Kearsarge vision of education: ‘Inspiring Learners, Committing to Community, Contributing to a Dynamic World,’” Superintendent Feneberg said.
He also urged attendees to become vocal advocates for their profession, and to push back on false narratives about education.
“I invite you to become agents of change. If we don’t work to change the narrative, nobody will do it for us!” he said.
