EASTON — Chief Justin Alexander and the Easton Fire Department encourage community members to mark their calendars for the department’s upcoming open house, to be held ahead of the 2022 National Fire Prevention Week.

WHAT:
In celebration and recognition of the 100th year of Fire Prevention Week, the Easton Fire Department is hosting an open house featuring family activities and demonstrations.
Fire Prevention Week, recognized Oct. 9-15 this year, is organized by the National Fire Protection Association with the goal of educating the public about simple but important ways they can keep themselves and those they live with safe. This year’s theme is “Fire won’t wait. Plan your escape.”
During the event, attendees will be able to enjoy live demonstrations and interactive experiences, face painting, and free pizza and refreshments. There will also be free giveaways of safety materials. Raffles and door prizes will be available, with all proceeds going to the Easton Food Pantry.
