BURLINGTON — The Burlington Police and Fire Departments, in collaboration with Wegmans, wish to invite residents to Burlington’s annual community safety night this week.
WHEN:
Wednesday, Aug. 3, from 5-7 p.m.
WHERE:
Wegmans parking garage, 53 3rd Ave.
WHAT:
This free event is open to adults and children of all ages. Food, beverages and music will be provided courtesy of Wegmans.
Public safety and Department of Public Works personnel from Burlington and neighboring communities will be present. Attendees will get an up-close view of K-9 demonstrations, police cruisers, fire trucks, ambulances and other equipment used by the town’s first responders.
There also will be face painters, balloon artists and giveaways from 3rd Ave businesses.
“This event is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the community of Burlington while connecting with local public safety officials,” Police Chief Thomas P. Browne said. “We thank Wegmans and the businesses of 3rd Ave for helping us bring this fun event to fruition.”
“We are happy to once again have the opportunity to come together and gather as a community at this family-friendly event,” Fire Chief Michael Patterson said. “We encourage any new residents to stop by and also look forward to connecting with familiar faces.”
