DUNSTABLE — Acting Chief Patrick Kerrigan is pleased to announce that the Dunstable Fire Department participated in a successful Concerts on the Common event.
Members of the Dunstable Fire Department participated in the town’s Concerts on the Common event held on Wednesday, July 20 at the Town Common.
Firefighters Rafael Cabanas and Denise Boodoo handed out educational coloring books and fire prevention magnets to residents and children.
Additionally, children were able to participate in a “Hot or Not” game hosted by the Department. Children chose images of different household items and had to determine if that household item is hot, sometimes hot, or not hot. The game was created to teach children what could potentially be hot in their home and how to be safe around these items.
The Dunstable Fire Department participates in all Concerts on the Common events, held every Wednesday during the summer on the Dunstable Town Common.
“As a department we really enjoy connecting with our community and getting to know our residents,” said Acting Chief Kerrigan. “We look forward to seeing residents we know and getting to know residents we don’t.”
Concerts on the Common is a series of community events hosted by the Town where residents and children can see live music, purchase food, visit vendor tables, meet town representatives, and participate in fun activities.
