TYNGSBOROUGH — Chief Richard Howe reports that the Tyngsborough Police Department is investigating after an unresponsive woman was pulled from the water in Mascuppic Lake Saturday afternoon.
At approximate 3:15 p.m., Tyngsborough Police responded to 3 Mascuppic Trail, near the Tyngsborough Town Beach, for a report of a person who was unresponsive and was being administered CPR.
Upon arrival, officers located a 60-year-old Dunstable woman who was unresponsive on the beach.
First responders immediately began to render medical aid and the woman was transported by a Tyngsborough Fire Department ambulance to Lowell General Hospital. Her condition is unknown at this time.
The initial investigation indicates that the woman was kayaking with a friend when she capsized and fell into the water and became unresponsive. The woman’s friend pulled her ashore and began to administer CPR.
The incident is under investigation by Tyngsborough Police and the Massachusetts Environmental Police. No further information is available at this time.
