METHUEN — Police Chief Scott J. McNamara reports that the Methuen Police Department, with support from the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council and other first responders, successfully de-escalated an incident involving an individual in crisis.
On Friday, July 8, at approximately 9:41 a.m., Methuen dispatchers received a call for a medical assistance at a residence on Lincoln Street.
Officers responded and encountered a person barricaded inside the home. It was determined that the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council’s emergency response team would be called to assist.
The individual was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, and will be connected with appropriate care.
The Methuen Police Department thanks area residents for their patience and cooperation during this call.
